Our firm provides the following comprehensive consulting services to our health care clients.
Strategic Planning
• Assist in the review and development of short, medium and long range strategic business plans for health care providers, care systems, payers and other stakeholders, including but not limited to: clinical, demographic, utilization and financial factors;
• Identify and evaluate initiatives responsive to federal and state health reform;
• Assess, cultivate and make recommendations on potential partnering opportunities (public and private) relating to strategic alliances, mergers, acquisitions, consolidations, joint ventures, affiliations, divestitures/sales;
• Program and financial restructuring and valuation analyses;
• Market area and service assessment including competitors and in/out-migration;
• Provide advice on regulatory matters and processes;
• Interface with governmental entities as appropriate to identify and remove early on obstacles to successful strategic plan execution;
• Present in public forums;
• Other assistance as needed.
Transactional Matters
• Assist in the review and formation of appropriate capital investment and feasible financing strategies;
• Provide guidance and recommendations including cost/benefit of refinancing and new debt/leasing options;
• Maintain relationships with the lending community;
• Interface with the NYS Dormitory Authority and investment bankers regarding its financing alternatives;
• Assess options for credit enhancement such as FHA Insurance, letters-of-credit, bank loans, private placements, obligated groups;
• Explore potential equity sources such as grants, philanthropy and internally generated funds;
• Assess appropriate debt to equity ratios;
• Provide advice on regulatory matters and processes;
• Present in public forums;
• Other assistance as needed.
